Give
Why We Give
We give 10% of the pre-tax, pre-shipping price from every coffee sale to mission partners we trust. Funds accrue weekly and are paid quarterly. This page explains how it works and what was given.
How the 10% Works
- Giving base: product subtotal only (before tax and shipping).
- What’s included: coffee bags (whole bean or ground) sold by Red & Oak Co.
- What’s excluded: gear/accessories, apparel, gift wrap, taxes, shipping, discounts we pass through; gift-card value until redeemed for coffee.
- Timing: amounts accrue weekly; disbursements happen at the end of each calendar quarter.
- Stewardship: giving is sent electronically when possible; receipts are archived and referenced below.
Tax & Receipts
Purchases from Red & Oak are not charitable contributions for customers. Red & Oak Co. makes the 10% donations and, if applicable, may receive any tax deduction. We are not a 501(c)(3) organization, and we do not issue charitable donation receipts to customers. If a receipt is needed, the receiving nonprofit will issue one to Red & Oak Co. for the amount provided.

FAQs
Do discounts reduce the 10%?
Yes. The 10% is calculated on the actual coffee subtotal the customer pays (after discounts), excluding tax and shipping.
What about gift cards?
We give when a gift card is redeemed for coffee, not at the time of purchase.
Can my church or nonprofit partner with Red & Oak?
